2012 March Madness Fundraiser
The WGA March Madness
fundraiser will be held on St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March
17, 2012 from 2 pm until 10 pm at Local 8’s hall. The event is
open to all family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers of Local 8
members.
A donation of $20 will get you in the party and a ticket for the
raffle. $10 will get you in the party, but you will not be in
the drawing. Proceeds will assist Local 8’s WGA with hosting the
IBEW Tournament in 2013.
There will be food and beverages, big screen TVs, and games.
Drawing prizes:
1st—$1500
2nd—$500
3rd—$250
Winner need not be present.

2012 Local 8
Dinner Dance
Join fellow Local 8 Members at
the annual Local 8 Dinner Dance on Saturday, March 31 at
Gladieux Meadows located at 4480 Heatherdowns Blvd. in Toledo.
Social hour begins at 6:00 pm and dinner will be served at 7:00.
Enjoy some stimulating conversation and dance to the music of
DJ, and Local 8 Member, Dan Teniente. All Local 8 members and
retirees are welcome to attend and bring a guest.
IBEW Hockey Tournament
The 2012 IBEW Hockey Tournament will be held in
Kingston, Ontario, Canada on Friday, April 13 and Saturday,
April 14, 2012.
Local 115 will host this year's tournament. It will be held at
the Invista Centre in Kingston, Ontario.

2012 Annual IBEW
Bowling Tournament
The 68th Annual IBEW Bowling
Tournament will be held in Indianapolis, IN on
June 1, 2, & 3, 2012.
Local 481 will host the event
at the Woodland Bowl. The host
hotel is the Sheraton, located at 8787 Keystone Crossing in
Indianapolis.

Meeting Attendance
Incentives
Local 8 members will be rewarded
for
their attendance at 2011 Union meetings. You may
qualify to receive a gift card for Mancy’s
Restaurant, Bass Pro,
Kroger, or Meijer.
Members will also have the option to donate their
award to the Benevolent Fund to assist a union
brother or sister in need. You may also consider
donating the award to a JATC apprentice or trainee.
Qualification is based on the number of meetings a
member attended in 2011.
To claim your award, please complete a Meeting
Attendance Awards form at a union meeting no later
than March 5, 2012.
