To IBEW 8 members living and voting in Oregon

IBEW Local 8
As your Business Manager I will fight for every hour of electrical work in our jurisdiction. Because every hour of electrical work is ours. Those are hours you and our brothers and sisters are owed.

And now, we have a site under a strong Project Labor Agreement with over 8 million hours of construction work across all trades that can break ground next year. 80 percent of the work is electrical. Me, my staff, and our attorney fought hard under my direction and we were successful in getting a signed PLA with the owner of the Oregon data center project.

They estimate peaking at 1,500 construction workers. This is high paying work, and the future of our industry. We will not let opportunities like this pass us by.

But there are people working to stop this and kill the project; if they’re successful, this work never happens. They’ve put it on the ballot, and that’s where we stop them.

VOTE NO ON ISSUE 25

We have committed resources to defeat this, to bring voters to our side, but the vote starts with you. If you live in Oregon, vote NO. Talk to your friends and family in Oregon, tell them that your work is on the line and to vote NO. If you have a good location for a sign, call the hall or our political rep. There are other opportunities to help the campaign, help there.

Take the fight on. We have to defeat this attack on our work at the ballot.
