The IBEW Local 8 referral system is how union electricians in our jurisdiction connect with available work.
Referral Office Hours
7:30 AM to 4:00 PM – Monday through Friday
New job calls are posted at the end of each business day. Jobs available and the number of open positions update throughout the day as positions are filled. Members can view open calls, check their book position and submit bids — all through the online referral system. To place your bid, log in using your member credentials.

Daily Referral Schedule
The daily referral process follows a set schedule. Members should plan accordingly.
7:30 a.m.
9:30 a.m. — Book 1 Day Hall
30 Min After Book 1 Day Hall
1:00 p.m. — Book 2 Day Hall
IMMEDIATELY AFTER Book 2 Day Hall
Leftover calls are filled with Book 3 or Book 4, when calls are available for Book 3 or Book 4.
All bids must be submitted through the website. No exceptions.
