RENEW

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers has created an opportunity for our younger members called the RENEW Initiative. Reach out and Engage Next-gen Electrical Workers (RENEW) was established to encourage younger members to become more involved with our union and our Labor Movement.

“The mission of RENEW is to inspire the next generation of IBEW workers to become active in their local union by focusing on issues important to younger workers, providing education about the IBEW and the labor movement, and fostering relationships with members and local union leadership.”

RENEW will be meeting on the 4th Wednesday of every other month at the union hall at 7 pm. Contact Sister Liz Enright at 419-225-2744 for additional information or check out Local 8's Facebook page.

Retiree's Club

Local 8 Retirees get together monthly to share a meal, socialize, play cards and plan events throughout the year. Meetings are typically held on the second Wednesday of the month, usually in the union hall beginning at noon.

A potluck luncheon is included and the meetings sometimes include guest speakers, 50/50 raffles and more.
Those attending are asked to bring their own table service and usually a side dish, salad or dessert to share.

Latin Labor Council

The Latin Labor Council meets on the 2nd Monday of the month at 3 pm at Local 8.

The IBEW Local 8 Women's Committee 

Our Mission Statement is to set goals that support our union and enriches our local community. A strong Women’s Committee helps to strengthen, engage and retain sisters through support, education and fostering relationships. As a whole, we can expand membership, promote leadership, and support our local union. 

We meet 1:00 pm on the second Sunday of every month at union hall.
