The IBEW Pension Benefit Fund (PBF) is available to "A" members of the IBEW.

Members may be eligible for:

• Normal Retirement - age 65 or older
• Early Retirement - age 62-64
• Disability Retirement
• Vesting Retirement
• Optional Spousal Benefit

Members can log onto the Pension Benefit Fund website to verify their pension eligibility - http://www.ibew.org/Pension-Reciprocity

However, pension applications must be presented to the membership for approval. Therefore, members are encouraged to contact Megan in the Local 8 Business Office at 419-666-8920 so that she can assist you with the paperwork and retain a copy in your personnel file. If your situation changes in the future or you have questions, Megan can address the changes/issues with the Pension Benefit Fund on your behalf.

Contact Megan if you are contemplating retirement. She will give you a list of documents that will need to be sent in along with your pension application.

Keep in mind, pension applications may take up to 90 days to process, so please schedule your appointment in advance.
